ALL ABOUT THE GRANULATE SPREADER AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Frequently asked questions about granulate spreader and suitable granules:

How does the granulate spreader work?
The granulate spreader is carried on the front of the body with an individually adjustable strap. The rotating spreader disc is operated by manual crank and ensures very precise distribution of the granules. A small agitator in front of the outlet keeps the granules moving.  The large filling aperture makes filling easy and the large screw cover protects the user from dust. The volume and direction of spreading can be adjusted by means of setting levers. An enclosed  metal gearbox provides a long service life.
When should you start gritting in winter?

Spreading is usually permitted from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Sundays, you can start from 9 a.m. Further and more specific provisions of the federal states and regulations at municipal level must be observed. Many municipalities have regulations relating to spreading work.
HOW CAN YOU TELL WHEN TO START SCARIFYING YOUR LAWN?

Depending on the weather, scarification should be carried out in April.
Weeds, dead grass and moss in the lawn is a clear sign that you should scarify it. Heavy, poorly aerated clay soils which tend to have standing water or suffer from acidification at times, are susceptible to moss formation. Along with scarification and removal of weeds, other measures to improve the soil should be taken. Application of lawn sand and – ideally after measuring the pH value – targeted application of lime and fertiliser can contribute to sustainable improvements over the long term.
Unwanted weeds, what can I do about them?
Regular fertilising and mowing are the best treatments for unwanted weeds. SOLO also offers a comprehensive range of sprayers for professional plant care.
How many litres can be spread?

Up to 9 l of granulate material can be applied very precisely even on difficult terrain. The direction of spreading and the delivery rate can both be adjusted. As a result, the granulate can be distributed and shared out precisely. This is particularly important when applying lawn fertiliser granulate.

SOLO 421 granulate spreader: fertilise, sow, spread

SOLO Germany The better choice. SINCE 1948

Seeds, fertilisers, gritting salt, oil absorber, detergents, granulated lime, bird food, other animal food, sand ... The SOLO 421 granulate spreader is made for all-year-round use.

Precise and very even spreading

The SOLO 421 granulate spreader is operated by manual crank, which makes the spreader disc rotate and thus ensures a very even distribution of the granulate over the area. The unrivalled lateral spreading even matches the accuracy of large agricultural spreaders. A coverage of approx. 5,000 m² an hour can be achieved. The integrated agitator ensures that the material in the container is well mixed during spreading. Up to 9 l of granulate material can be applied very precisely even on difficult terrain. In places, for example, where devices on wheels would be less suitable. The direction of spreading and the delivery rate can both be adjusted. The spreader is carried on the front of the body with an individually adjustable strap. The large filling aperture with transparent seal makes it easier to fill the granulate spreader. The large screw cover protects the user from dust.

Granulate spreader with practical convenience

The spreader is carried on the front of the body with an individually adjustable comfort strap. The large filling aperture of the granulate spreader also makes it easier to fill, while the large screw cover protects the user from dust. The frame made of strong plastic and the ergonomically shaped back ensure that the device is absolutely stable and makes it comfortable to wear for light and easy application.
