Whether it’s in civil engineering projects, road construction, industry or the emergency services: with SOLO cut-off machines you can cut effortlessly and precisely through the hardest materials, including concrete, steel, asphalt, cast iron and stone. These powerful units are characterised by their ergonomic design, technical details and ease of maintenance. All models are available for cutting discs of 12”/ 300 mm and 14”/ 350 mm diameters. The 881 series is also equipped with the innovative iLube® separated lubrication system. At the heart of all SOLO cut-off machines is the modern 81 cc high-performance two-stroke engine - developed and made by SOLO in Sindelfingen - with a power of 4 kW, which means that even the hardest materials stand no chance. And in addition to all the power that the engines provide for the cutting discs, they also impress with their low emissions.

SOLO cut-off machines have cleverly designed details: the quality of a tool soon comes to the surface in hard day-to-day use under the toughest conditions. That's why SOLO has paid particular attention to ease of operation, first-class ergonomics and durability and given its cut-off machines highly innovative genes. 

The multi-stage air filter system of the cut-off machines, for example, consistently blows dust out of the machine. At the same time, the air is blown out onto the intake pipes. As a consequence, much of the air arriving at the paper lamella filter has already been cleaned. The perfect ergonomics also ensure the optimal weight distribution of the manual machines and thus allow energy-saving operation. A magnesium shield, the anti-vibration system and the rubber handles are just three of the many clever details, which also include the sturdy cutting arm, which can be turned easily for inside and outside cuts. The cutting discs are also extremely robust and wear-free for a long service life.

The 880 and 881 cut-off machines offer even more advantages. For example, starting has never been easier. the electronic ignition system controls the carburettor and finds the correct setting automatically – right from the start, without needing a choke. The primer feeds fresh fuel into the carburettor and the integrated decompression valve makes heating of the engine very easy. Want to stop? All it takes is the press of a button. The one-push-stop system switches the engine off and simultaneously prepares it for operation again.

And with the 881 models with our patented iLube®  separated lubrication system, you never have to worry about the mixture again! iLube® stands for “intelligent lubrication”. An electronically controlled pump automatically mixes the fuel with the 2-stroke oil required. This prevents expensive engine damage. And you will also save money, as you no longer have to buy expensive, pre-mixed 2-stroke fuels but can fill up with normal petrol. Simple fill the tanks with oil and petrol respectively and off you go. You can focus completely on your work. Everything else is dealt with by SOLO’s iLube® intelligent separated lubrication system.

There are suitable accessories for SOLO cut-off machines, too: these include a trolley which allows the device to be moved precisely and easily over even surfaces. The pressurised water tank which is available as an option has an 11 l tank capacity and is used for wet cutting. If you want to make it even easier to use, you can even equip the pressurised water tank with a pneumatic connection valve which builds up pressure automatically without any manual pumping. And with the right trolley for the pressurised water tank, it can be transported very easily as there is no need to carry it at all.
