License for SOLO mopeds
During the moped boom in the 1970s and 1980s, SOLO developed several moped and scooter models that featured its own two-stroke engine and launched the MK 40 moped. The “Solo Electra”, Europe's first mass-produced electric vehicle, is still legendary today. Once considered innovative and in great demand, the mopeds made by SOLO Kleinmotoren GmbH now enjoy cult status and are highly sought after.
1970
Vehicles made by SOLO – new production branch with mopeds.
1972
Progress with electric drive – production of two-wheeled vehicles explodes.
1973
SOLO Electra goes into series production and passes practical tests.
