ULV nozzle for power misters

With the new SOLO ULV nozzle for SOLO misters, liquids such as plant protection spray medium in LV and ULV (low volume/ ultra low volume) processes can be applied in a fine mist. In conjunction with the SOLO 452 or 423 mister, the nozzle creates a mist of spray liquid in a defined droplet size spectrum between 40 and 51 μm that is transported by the airflow blown by the mister in the desired direction. These fine droplets can exert their effect more effectively in many applications.

The SOLO ULV nozzle is simply mounted on the front of the spray tube of the SOLO mister in place of the standard nozzle. It also fits older models. The flow rate of the liquid can be selected at one of four levels between 0.04 and 0.175 l/min using an adjustment wheel.
The combination of fine droplets and the strong airflow of the SOLO mister ensures outstanding penetration of densely foliated plants and a uniform, fine coating of the leaves without loss through dripping – which cuts costs and protects the environment. Anywhere where a long reach is also needed, this nozzle, combined with SOLO misters, is the first choice. This special nozzle is also suitable for use in dry zones.

In addition to plant protection applications in the ULV range, this nozzle is suitable for vector control, i.e. for use against carriers of pathogens such as mosquitos, flies and other insect pests. The SOLO ULV nozzle can produce up to 40% of the droplet volume in the range optimum for vector control and is thus also suitable for use in subtropical and tropical regions against dangerous human diseases.

Other applications are pest control in greenhouses, warehouses and granaries. The SOLO ULV nozzle is also particularly effective against fast-spreading crop pests in agriculture, such as in the fight against migratory locusts.
